Get to Know Jayne May
Thank you for taking the time to look at my website. I am the Author of Women's fiction romance novels Hola Madrid and My Dubrovnik Summer Love.
I am a lover of Spain and all things Spanish and have been lucky enough to travel all over Spain, but hadn't got around to visiting the capital of the country that I love so much until 2013. The culture and the vibrancy of the city really inspired me to write Hola Madrid. It has taken me five years to complete writing my book on and off in between working, moving house several times and a slight case of writer's block. Visiting Madrid again in 2018 fuelled me to finish writing the story that I had become so passionate about. I hope that it's clear from my writing just how much I have put into the story and the characters, as I really do write from the heart.
I have ideas for more books in the near future all of which are set in European destinations that I have visited and been inspired by and I'm excited to start working on those. I also love being outdoors, mindfulness, meditation, dogs and jewellery making.

I love the story, the way that mental health was dealt with in a sympathetic and understanding way. Without overpowering the story. I loved the travel aspect as I love Spain to although I haven't yet visited Madrid but if I do I hope I will meet Nic's friends. Well done Jayne May, now write another one....Please.

This book is so well written - combating mental health aswell as love at its finest! I couldn't put it down. I was gripped - I actually hope there's a 2nd book. This would definitely make a great film one day!

A great read with likeable characters- it's hard to put down.
